Art at Kings Oaks, the much-anticipated pop-up art exhibition near Newtown, Pennsylvania, returns for the sixth year this October 5 - 21. The exhibition features: paintings, works on paper, sculpture, ceramics, and textiles works from 26 renowned and emerging artists in an historic barn and chapel. With more than 800 visitors annually, this artist-lead exhibition brings artwork from across the U.S., France, and Israel to Bucks County. Historical reenactor and lecturer Michael Jesberger discusses the saga and loss of the H.L. Hunley, the world's first successful attack submarine. On Show More...Feb. 17, 1864, during the Civil War, the Confederate sub left the Charleston, SC, harbor and sank a blockading Union warship. Soon after sending the USS Housatonic to the bottom, the submarine also sank. The sunken sub's location was a mystery until 1995, when a team of divers sponsored by writer Clive Cussler discovered the nearly-intact Hunley. It was raised and carefully excavated. Ms. Stefy, born and raised in Mexico, holds a degree in Child Psychology and Education, has taught preschool, developed large preschool Spanish programs, and has owned/directed camps for children ages 2-6 years! She is very enthusiastic, always moving, and full of energy that the children love!

The event will be presented by Broadway musical playwright & composer Christopher Smith. The composer for Broadway musical hit "Amazing Grace," Mr. Smith will provide guests with a showcase selection of his talents.
Those with V.I.P. tickets ($70/advance, $75/door) will be treated to a special meet-and-greet session from 1 to 2 p.m. with Smith, this year's ambassador to Fall Fest.
In addition to wine-tasting, there will be mouth-watering delicious hors d'oeuvres and desserts prepared by Chef Michelle Gallwey. Live music will be presented by "Danielle & Jennifer," plus deejay Bobby Waite.

Richie Schulz from Lutheran Ministries in Philadelphia will speak on gun violence in America and provide Show More...information on how Bucks residents can take action.
Mr. Schulz previously worked at Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, which is the larger Quaker Community to which Yardley Friends belong. Currently, he is the community educator at Lutheran Settlement House (LSH), where he trains people on how to support survivors of domestic violence in their professional and personal contexts. At LSH he also organizes the Men Can Campaign, which focuses on engaging men to join the anti-violence movement. He is an organizer with Philly Showing Up for Racial Justice.
